"Obviously the Masters is proper around the corner. I've never really visited that position where I'd to try to be entitled to it because I've been sufficiently fortunate to get basically glide through and obtain within," said Els, who's in California be prepared for this week's Northern Trust Open.
"I've got to do some work, and I think it's good for me. It's going to keep me focused, believe me, get me trying, and I think that this is a good thing.
"I'm planning to play quite a few Mizuno JPX-800 Irons tournaments now accumulating to Augusta, so I'll give myself a high probability of getting in.
"It's a reason, but transpire in 2010 is to really get back and play proper golf and possibly go back to that short putter.
"I think I'm near to ok that will playing just how I can play but basically make it happen the remainder will handle itself.
"[When] I started out in life, I wanted being the very best player in the world and win as much tournaments as I could. I managed to get married coupled with a family, plus your direction goes quite different way.
"I'm still an experienced golfer i still wish to win golf tournaments Mizuno MX-1000 irons is coming year as well as in the near future."
Els knows it week's event can be a golden opportunity to get some valuable rankings points. He's often professed a love for discount golf clubs layout, design at Riviera Country Club, and it has won within yesteryear.
"I love the bunkering, I do believe it's phenomenal," he was quoted saying.
"I love the angles they've got making use of their greens, what sort of course flows - you've got to draw a lot of shots, fade lots of shots."
